Are We Experiencing a Soft Landing?
A superheated economy coming out of the pandemic lead to a surge in inflation not seen in over 3 decades. Central banks across the world increased the cost of borrowing to curb this inflation, but the fear was this would eventually lead to recession as demand for goods and services declined. However, as we move into a new year these recession fears are dwindling behind a surprisingly strong labor market, improving inflation, and a stabilization in the house market. A soft landing?
