Labor and Employment Law Update
Constant state and federal legal changes… that seems to be the norm in 2023! Join us for a lively
session covering recent legal updates and court decisions since our last CO-SHRM update (in October 2022). This will be a 90-minute in-person only event at OSU-Cascades, Tykeson Room 111.

A partner at Best Best & Krieger in Bend, Kurt serves as co-chair of the firm’s multi-state Labor and Employment Law Department. He is the current Legislative Affairs Chair of HRACO/CORSHRM and a past President of the board; he also serves on the boards of the Central Oregon Employers Council and Volunteers in Medicine. Kurt has been representing employers in all aspects of the employment relationship for 22 years, including counseling regarding terminations and medical issues, drafting handbooks and contracts, conducting anti-harassment and other trainings, helping employers avoid claims, and defending them before agencies and in state and federal courts.
