"HR's New Calling: New Rules for the New Workplace"

The world has changed, business has shifted, and employees are demanding more – and getting it! This “shift” seems to have happened overnight, but it has been years in the making. Now, leaders are desperately trying to figure out answers and looking to HR for help. Are you prepared to step in to deliver the best solutions that will drive your organization forward?

For years, HR has worked as a “Business Partner” – consulting, advising, and delivering solutions. But the new challenges call for greater agility to move from “partner” to “strategist”. It calls for proactive leadership where HR delivers data-driven business solutions, future-oriented strategy, and tactical consulting that upskills individual and management capability to perform.  Today’s new workplace calls for a new approach to HR.

This session will introduce attendees to HR’s new calling as they:

    • Identify future workforce trends, demands, and expectations facing employers and what HR must do to succeed in recruitment and retention efforts.
    • Recognize new business pressures (regardless of size and location) and the role that HR leaders must play in aligning business resources to meet ongoing performance demands.
    • Implement continuous process improvement in HR – to measurably “do HR better” by meeting the needs of employees, executives, and the business to achieve success.
    • Understand the “new rules” of the “future of work” – for HR, leaders, and the general workforce, and how a competency-based approach is key to success.
    • Apply a new model to help shift from an HR-only focus to a business-solution provider.
