Certification Scholarship Awards

Congratulations to Rachel Knox on earning her SHRM-SCP and certification scholarship! 

Rachel has been a Central Oregon SHRM Member for 3 years. Throughout her career, she has worked in HR-adjacent roles and was fortunate to move into an HR role in 2021 and completed a Masters program in Organizational Leadership and Learning in 2023. The SHRM-SCP was a
valuable way to synthesize practical skills and knowledge. 

Additionally, Rachel taught yoga for 12 years and believes mindfulness can change your life. Rachel has also found that mindfulness is a useful tool for HR pros. There is compelling neuroscience that proves the value of mindfulness practices. Curious? Check out Peak Mind.

Personally, Rachel strives to be a good mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
Professionally, she hopes to be able to contribute to making workplaces positive, been a good coach, and done useful work.

For those considering certivication, Rachel fournd the SHRM Certification prep class was enjoyable and found a lot of tangible value in the process of studying for the exam and working through the SHRM learning system.
